At ConnectAll, we treat all tenants listed on the lease as one single group. The lease is a shared legal agreement between the landlord and all tenants collectively—not with individuals separately.
As a result:
We do not manage or control how tenants split rent, the security deposit, or any credits issued. It is entirely up to your group to decide how to divide these amounts internally.
We do not determine who occupies which bedroom or area within the property. That is a decision for tenants to coordinate amongst themselves.
When a credit (e.g. for rent abatement or repair inconvenience) is issued, we will explain the total amount and reason. The division of that credit among tenants is your responsibility.
When a repair is needed due to damage, we do not assign responsibility to a specific tenant. Any related charges are deducted from the entire security deposit, not from individual tenants.
When someone moves out, we continue holding the full security deposit for the unit. Tenants must handle any internal buyout or reimbursement directly.
This shared-responsibility structure allows us to manage your lease fairly and consistently. However, it also means that tenants must take responsibility for internal arrangements related to payment splits, occupancy, and reimbursements.
If you have questions about the total amounts billed, credited, or deducted, we’re always happy to clarify. But we respectfully ask that all internal negotiations, splits and reimbursements be handled by the tenants themselves.
